S.W.A.L.K. Launch Press Release

Monday 23rd January 2017
Surrey Mother of Two Launches Her New Fashion Business and Hopes to Raise Valuable Funds for White Lodge Centre

Surrey, 23 January 2017:
Today sees the launch of S.W.A.L.K. FASHION, a brand new online fashion retailer for women, launched by Ting-Ting Lee. Featuring designers from the UK and Europe, including Grace & Mila, Smash, Nü Denmark and Sugarhill, plus other new designers to be added throughout the year, S.W.A.L.K. FASHION offers women a new online shopping experience and the promise of quality, stylish and affordable fashion. The site also showcases fashion in a unique way, with the clothes modelled by real women in real-life circumstances – no photoshopped studio poses or heavily edited catwalk videos using professional size 8 models. The collection is available to buy now at www.swalkfashion.com.

“The market is flooded with lots of sites selling cheap fashion for women, but these lack quality and with two messy little boys, I need clothes that look good, are comfortable and stylish, wash well and won’t fall apart. Plus I’m tired of the constant disappointment of clothes that look great on a 5’10”, size 8 model in photoshopped photos, but horrendous on real women like me,” said Ting-Ting Lee, Managing Director of S.W.A.L.K. FASHION.

Ting-Ting Lee is mother to Jacob and Leo, who are 2 years and 9 months old respectively, and has 15 years’ experience in the retail industry. Like a lot of women, she faced the quandary of how to juggle work and family life, although that decision has been even harder as her eldest son Jacob has cerebral palsy. “Our life now involves a schedule of various therapy sessions to help his development which made the prospect of returning to work full time in the corporate world simply impossible. But it has given me the opportunity to follow my dreams and create an exciting new venture which I hope will help a lot of women feel confident and happy in the way they look.”

As part of the launch of S.W.A.L.K. FASHION, Ting-Ting Lee will be donating 5% of sales to the White Lodge Centre. White Lodge Centre supports disabled children, young people and adults, their families and carers in Surrey and the centre has provided care and support to her son Jacob. “White Lodge Centre is simply amazing. The support they have given Jacob and our family has been incredible and we will forever be grateful to them. My vision for S.W.A.L.K. FASHION is a company that helps its customers feel good about themselves, works with ethical and inspiring designers and gives something back to those who have helped me. By donating 5% of our launch sales to White Lodge Centre, I hope to repay them for some of the help they have given my family.”

S.W.A.L.K. FASHION was launched in January 2017 by Ting-Ting Lee as a new online retailer for women. The site offers a stunning collection of clothes from independent designers in the UK and Europe, modelled by real women so consumers have confidence in the clothes they purchase online. The collection is available online at www.swalkfashion.com
